We are proud to introduce Dr. Abhijeet Ashok Kokate, a highly skilled and dedicated medical oncologist at our newly established cancer hospital. Dr. Kokate brings extensive experience in cancer treatment, clinical research, and compassionate patient care to our team. His academic journey includes earning an MBBS from B.J. Medical College, Pune, followed by a DNB in General Medicine from the National Board of Examinations, Delhi. He has worked as a DM Medical Oncology Resident at Tata Memorial Hospital, Mumbai, where he gained valuable experience in treating complex cancer cases. Subsequently, he completed his DM Medical Oncology residency program at the Gujarat Cancer and Research Institute (GCRI), Ahmedabad, a premier cancer research center in India. Dr. Kokate further distinguished himself by successfully clearing the prestigious ESMO Examination, earning the internationally acclaimed ESMO Certification from the European Society of Medical Oncology, underscoring his commitment to excellence in oncology care.

Dr. Kokate’s expertise spans chemotherapy, targeted therapy, and immunotherapy, with a focus on delivering patient-centered, evidence-based cancer care. He is deeply committed to serving rural communities, especially in his hometown of Barshi, where his mission is to ensure that cancer patients have access to affordable, high-quality treatments, regardless of their financial situation. This mission aligns with our hospital’s goal of providing accessible cancer care to underserved populations.
In addition to his clinical expertise, Dr. Kokate has made significant contributions to oncology research, particularly in advanced therapies for ovarian cancer. He has presented and published several papers on rare cancers, underscoring his dedication to advancing cancer treatment.
